Our Venues

The NSWLCA runs events at different venues all over NSW. We are always on the lookout for more places that we can run trials so our experienced coursing dogs don't learn to "read" the field by running on it too many times. If you know of any large fully fenced grounds that could possibly be utilised, please contact us.

Sydney

Dogs NSW Complex

44 Luddenham Rd, Orchard Hills
The grounds at Dogs NSW are located at the back of the complex behind the Rotunda. Enter the complex, and follow the road to the left. When you hit the T-junction at the end, turn left. Parking is on both sides of the Rotunda building. This venue is fenced with farm fencing.
Note: Snakes have been seen at this venue. Please use caution when exercising dogs.

Sydney

Hawkesbury Showground

Racecourse Rd, Clarendon
Lure Coursing is held on the Main Arena. Access from either end is via Racecourse Rd. Grandstand seating overlooks the arena and visitors are welcome. This venue is unfenced.

Canowindra

Canowindra Showground

Rodd St, Canowindra
Enter the Showground via Rodd St. Camping is available with both powered and unpowered sites available. This venue is unfenced.

Wagga Wagga

Lake Albert Pony Club

Mitchell Rd, Lake Albert
Camping is available. This venue is fenced with farm fencing.

Tarago

Tarago Recreation Area

3812 Lumly Rd, Tarago
Unpowered camping sites are available for a gold coin donation. Parking is available behind the green building next to the cricket oval. Note: Dogs are not permitted on the cricket oval. There are no off-lead exercising facilities at this venue. Please keep your dog on lead at all times.

Gunning

Gunning Showground

80 Lerida St, Gunning
Gunning Showground is only a couple of minutes off the Hume Highway and offers free camping with toilet and shower facilities. There are no powered sites available. This venue is fenced.

Bungendore

Bungendore Showground

Mathews Lane, Bungendore
Our grounds at Bungendore are within the showgrounds. Enter the complex and turn right. Follow the road to the left until you can see the showground's main arena between the buildings. This venue is unfenced.

Marchmont (Yass)

Marchmont Racecourse

​​Marchmont holds a special place in the hearts of many of us. It’s one of the original venues used by our club, and the field is filled with great memories.
But sentiment aside—this venue is HUGE. Huge with a capital H. It gives us incredible flexibility to design courses with multiple start and finish options. The open expanse means dogs are far less likely anticipate a turn based on fencing or tree lines as the can do on smaller fields.
The field is naturally undulating , creating the perfect terrain to test endurance and agility. We can lay longer courses that are challenging, engaging , open and fast. Get set for some phenomenal brace action in the Open & Field Champion Classes..
There is camping avaiable at the ground, and the trial precinct is just minutes from Yass, offering accommodation options, food outlets, and supermarkets.

Harden

Harden Racecourse
